There are a great many tutorials out there and a couple of good resources...
A couple of lessons I learned in making my own Waldorf doll:
- Use good quality yarn-and a lot of it- for the hair This is very important.
- Spend a lot of time getting the face just so, the devil is in the details. I think I attempted her face 10 times.
- Over stuff her-put in way more stuffing than you think is enough. You want a full, almost pudgy doll in the end. Don't skimp.
I had(dare I say have?) big plans to make more, one to look like HD, and a whole closet full of clothes, but, well....tomorrow is another day. I guess I just like the challenge.
