Ready...Set....Go

We wait in hopeful anticipation for Kate's Baby Brother.  Since the big event is planned to take place tomorrow, we thought it would be best to move Kate's 4th Birthday Party to April.  I (mistakenly?) thought it would be best to throw a BUG BASH for 20 preschoolers at 37 weeks pregnant, less than a week before my induction,  rather than while juggling a newborn.  it turned out a success as I know Kate had a blast, and it seemed that her friends did too....  Here are some highlights...

Here Comes Peter Cottontail...

This past weekend we took Kate to an Easter Egg "hunt". She had a great time, but it wasn't much of a hunt. It was a baseball field covered with plastic eggs. The kids just stood behind the tape and when the bunny counted down, they took off collecting the eggs. The thing that amazed us was that it took under 5 minutes for the children to rid the field of Easter eggs. Here are some of the highlights...

Triple Threat?

This is the video release of Kate's First Single and Kate's First Ballad-Up on Stage. The trilogy was complete with Shooting Stars Across the Sky, but I will spare you that ditty.  The footage is a bit long in the tooth, I realize, but understand that this impromptu concert went on and on for over 30 minutes. Consequently, editing 2 of the songs down to 3 or 4 minutes was a big task...But none the less, I thought it was pretty funny...The Ballad especially reminds me of the iconic scene in The Jerk where Steve Martin explains to Bernadette Peters just how long he has been in love with her:

[Speaking to Marie in bed while she sleeps]
Navin R. Johnson: I know we've only known each other four weeks and three days, but to me it seems like nine weeks and five days. The first day seemed like a week and the second day seemed like five days. And the third day seemed like a week again and the fourth day seemed like eight days. And the fifth day you went to see your mother and that seemed just like a day, and then you came back and later on the sixth day, in the evening, when we saw each other, that started seeming like two days, so in the evening it seemed like two days spilling over into the next day and that started seeming like four days, so at the end of the sixth day on into the seventh day, it seemed like a total of five days. And the sixth day seemed like a week and a half. I have it written down, but I can show it to you tomorrow if you want to see it.

WARNING:  And after a second thought, maybe listening to a 3 3/4  year old singing for 6 minutes might also  seem like nine weeks and five days for you.  Sorry.

New Shoes

Watch out...Kate has a brand new pair of pink sparkly shoes, and I can not tell you how much she loves these shoes. She can run so fast with them on. She wears them everyday, all day long. She even comes to get us in the morning with her new shoes on. Here she is demonstrating the Swiffer Sweeper with her new shoes...
