It Was The Best of Times, It Was the Worst of Times

The past month has been quite crazy for us here...To summarize: 1st Kate came down with pneumonia, then Henry was diagnosed with a milk protein allergy which consequently put me on a crazy no soy or dairy diet, and then I came down with mastitis (ouch), and then the trifecta became a quadfecta (probably not a word) when I came down with pneumonia myself. Not good times, but we are on the mend now, and anxiously awaiting healthier days...

Attempting To Photograph a Smile

Henry is smiling now.  While from time to time, he will smile at Mommy and Daddy, I think he prefers these fishies on his swing.  I have been trying for weeks to photograph Henry smiling...this is the closest I have gotten.

One Month Old

It is true when they say that the time flies a lot faster with the second one than with the first. You are definitely able to enjoy it more and get a good look at those tiny fingers and toes as to burn the memory of them in your mind forever. Especially so that you are able to conjure the memory of those tiny toes and fingers when they are out doing who knows what, with their friends at 16 when they, of course, know much more than you...Hard to believe that this little guy will turn into that, but sadly, I think they all do...I taught middle school...

Happy Birthday Kate

Since we already threw Kate a BIG BUG BIRTHDAY BASH before the arrival of Baby Henry, Kate's actual birthday came and went undramatically; we met some friends at the park during the day and headed to our favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner...
